Minister optimistic of fixing broken Kasoa roads by 2020

The Minister of Special Development Initiative, Hon. Mavis Hawa Koomson, says she is hopeful that all broken roads within the Ewutu Senya East Municipal Assembly, especially those in the Kasoa township, will see a major facelift by middle of 2020.

She said plans are far advanced to get the contractors to commence work on all the deplorable road networks that within the municipality that are causing a lot of dissatisfaction among the residents.

All the deplorable road networks in Kasoa, for instance, have been awarded, stressing that the contractors would soon move to site to begin work.

Hon. Koomson who is also the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for Awutu Senya East, made this assurance when she interacted with Nana Akwasi Addo, on Pink 96.7 FM on Tuesday, December 3, 2019.

She was addressing concerns from some residents of Kasoa who are not enthused about the deplorable state of their road networks.

Speaking on her chances of retaining her seat in the 2020 polls, the lawmaker said her good works in the constituency are enough for the electorates to give her another term in Parliament.

When asked if the Parliamentary candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Naa Koyor does not pose a threat to her chances of going to Parliament a third time, the calm looking Hon. Koomson retorted “not at all”.

” Politics is all about addressing the needs of your people. You have serve them well because of the confidence they have reposed in you and that is exactly what I’m doing. The problems of the people are my problems and have never and will never turn my back at them. The NDC candidate knows this and that is why whenever we meet at social gatherings, she feels uncomfortable and before you realize, she is gone”, she noted.

She pleaded with her constituents to continue reposing their confidence in the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the NPP since they have good measures that are being put in place to turn their standard of living around.

The Awutu Senya East constituency, she added, will get its share of the National Ambulance within the third quarter of 2020.
