Speaking at the third Kofi Annan Peace Security Forum, he said that research suggest that the migration is good and that migration for growth is the next big thing. The results of demographic trends around the globe suggest that migration would be important years to come. The positive thing will be the rise in income levels in the next decades.

Despite the positive influence of migration on income the president acknowledged that it also had negatives. He raised concerns about the chances of multiethnicity that could ruin our national identity. High migration can also result in political unrest in the nation and for this reason, high income countries like the UK, Australia, Norway and others cut down on migration.
