Before the Champions League final on May 28, fans will be treated to a DJ set from former Lazio midfielder Gaizka Mendieta.
After a distinguished 16-year spell as a footballer that included stints with the Biancocelesti, Barcelona and Valencia, amongst others, the Spaniard has opted for a radical change of career path.
Mendieta, twice named the best midfielder in Europe at the UEFA Club Football Awards, will play an exclusive set alongside world-famous DJ Benny Benassi in the build up to the showdown between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.
UEFA have confirmed that the decorated former Spain international, who won 40 caps for La Roja, will headline the event in the Piazza del Dumo with an hour-long performance on the main stage.
Alongside Benassi, the pair will form the centrepiece of the UEFA Champions Festival, an official free event that runs from Thursday, May 26 to Saturday, May 28 in the centre of Milan.
Aside from the set from the newly converted disc jockey, one of the most anticipated events is likely to be the Ultimate Champions match, an exhibition that will feature a variety of household names from both the male and female game.
Elsewhere, supporters will also have the opportunity to witness the MasterCard shootout with Dutch legend Edgar Davids on Friday.
