Manchester United have revealed their new away strip for the 2016-17 season with a return to the blue often used for their change colours in recent seasons.
The adidas jersey is a collegiate blue colour with red club crest and three stripes on the sleeves. There is also a ‘Red Devils’ detail visible on the inside of the shirt.
The replica shirt is priced on the official United online shop at £60, with the shorts £30 for adults and £25 for kids, and the socks £13. That means the full adult replica kit will cost fans £103.
An ‘authentic’ version of the kit identical to that worn by the players is also available priced at £89.95 for the shirt and £35 for the shorts.United defender Luke Shaw tries the new adidas away kit for size during the promotional photoshoot.
United’s Spanish midfielder Juan Mata shows off the new blue away kit with red details and logos.
David Beckham took to Instagram after he received the new away shirt through the post.
A green goalkeeper strip has also been modelled by David de Gea though United supporters will have to wait a little while longer before next season’s home kit is launched.
It remains to be seen whether United will be wearing the new kits in the Champions League next season, with qualification out of their hands after Tuesday night’s 3-2 loss at West Ham.
United have regularly chosen blue as their change kit colour, most recently for last season’s third kit, which also had a red detail.
Their 2013-14 season away kit had a blue gingham design, while their away strip in 2011-12 was blue and black hoops.
