The former President of Ghana,John Dramani Mahama has poured out his heart filled with pains to his brother Captain Chubby Adam Mahama (Rtd) over the loss of his son Captain Maxwell Mahama at Diaso in the Denkyira West District in the Western Region.
The military officer who was in charge of the detach in Diaso was lynched and killed by the youth after he was wrongfully accused of being an armed robber.
However further report indicates that, incidents of robbery was alarming in the town and everyone was on guard as the deceased was seen with pistol as he jogs along the road.
He had tried to ask for direction from some women who upon seeing him with the pistol called on the attention of the Assembly man of the area who unfortunately pronounced him to be a thief and eventually called on the youth who also in turn applied instant justice that led to his untimely death.
The aftermath of this unfortunate happening saw to the former President writing on his Facebook page words to console his brother, wife, children and mother.
“My heart goes out to my brother, Capt. Chubby Adam Mahama (Rtd), on the murder of his son, Capt. Maxwell Mahama. MY condolences also to the wife,his young children & to his mother on the loss of her only son”, he expressed.
This has however led to the army to hold the town folks hostage where most women and children have been encamped in churches to help carry out investigations.
