KWABENYA TRADITIONAL COUNCIL ANNOUNCES ITS NOISE MAKING BAN LIFT

The noise making ban lift  begins today as announced by the Kwabennya Traditional Council. The Kwabenya Traditional Council has raised  its ban on noise making on drumming today.

The Ga Traditional Council placed a ban on drumming and noise-making in the Greater Accra Region recently.

According to the spokesperson for the Kwabenya Traditional Council, Nii Mensa Dza Nyumo, Kwabenya Musuke Manhene,” revealed that the final traditional rite of lifting of the ban on drumming and noise-making is ongoing.

He therefore, called on Chiefs and Family at the various communities to help solve issues of Disputes.  Thus  to help pave way for development.

Since Accra is a busy place, one of the best ways of controlling noise pollution is to preserve and protect our cultural heritage. This noise making ban is applied during the performance of their traditional rite period.

Besides, they celebrate that occasion to offer sacred sacrifices to their ancestors, gods and the Supreme Being. They believe that doing this would appease the gods to intervene on their behalf and protect the town from bad omen.

Moreover, Nii further, advised the youth to be up and doing on their lives in terms of work to enabled them get assistance from Nananom.

Noise making is one of the peace destructing factors of in our society today. As a matter of fact, where there is peace, there is unity, comfort and understanding. Noise making is one of the most contributing factors of pollution.

Apart from noise made by automobiles, animals and human activities also create a lot of pollution in the environment as well. The  noise making ban lift is to reveal that the traditional rites have been finally completed.
