Kotoko Regret Appointing Duncan

The Operations Manager of Asante Kotoko, George Kennedy claims the division of the club’s management to appoint David Duncan was a blunder.
The hierarchy of the Porcupine Warriors engaged the services of the former Hearts of Oak technical handler last season, which at that time, management, headed by Opoku Nti described his appointment as ‘best thing to happen Kotoko.’
However, after six matches into the 2015-16 Ghana Premier League (GPL) season, Kotoko were languishing at the bottom of the league log and Opoku Nti and his team asked Duncan to step aside until further notice.
Duncan has been defiant since the decision was made March early this year, insisting he is still the head coach of the club, and George Kennedy says they regretted appointing him.
“In a way, I will says our decision to appoint Duncan was wrong,” George Kennedy said in an interview with Kessben FM.
Mr. Kennedy revealed that the management ignored advises from some individuals who parched against his appointment.
“Before his appointment, there was pressure on us not to appoint him. Even some elders within Manhyia kicked against it, but we stood our grounds and appointed him.
“It was after his appointment that we realized we took a wrong decision. So we went back to all those who advised us and apologized to them.” He said.
