The 43-year-old widow of NBA icon Kobe Bryant has finally responded following a flurry of online rumors claiming she is expecting her fifth child, purportedly with a 27-year-old basketball player whose identity remains undisclosed.
Rather than issuing a formal statement, Vanessa chose to respond by sharing a fierce Rihanna meme on her Instagram stories, which effectively put the rumors to rest.
During the weekend, Vanessa posted a funny meme featuring Rihanna floating in water with a snorkel while flashing the middle finger.
The caption stated: “I’m prioritizing my peace, not pregnant, and enjoying my summer.” It delivered a straightforward and playful message: “Enough with the nonsense.”
She shared another meme of Rihanna with the caption: “I mean, I’m not the only one,” seemingly responding to those who were shocked by the notion that Vanessa, five years after losing Kobe, might be open to dating again.
Her memes were a bold middle finger to the trolls — without her having to say a word.
The rumors started after some blurry, unverified photos surfaced online, prompting gossip and conspiracy threads claiming she was showing a baby bump.
A user on X commented: “Vanessa Bryant is expecting a child with a 27-year-old basketball player. Kobe sacrificed his life and damaged family ties for her, and just five years after the death of the man she was with for over two decades, she’s having a baby with a professional player who’s 16 years her junior. It seems like there are no boundaries anymore.
Another commenter said, “I’ve heard rumors that Vanessa Bryant (Kobe Bryant’s widow) is pregnant, which I find hard to believe. Even if it were true, the vows state ‘until death do us part.’ Kobe has been gone for five years!”
