The contractor of the Kasoa Interchange project has hinted about a possible closure of the N1 Highway route that passes through Kasoa to Winneba.
This action according to the Public Relations Officer to the project, Mr. Amadu Tuarick has become necessary due to the level of work and stage the project has reached.
This night time closure will last for two weeks.

NIGHT TIME CLOSURE OF N1 HIGHWAY THROUGH KASOA
19TH MAY – 1ST JUNE.
As part of the interchange project, the N1 Highway that passes through Kasoa township will be closed to traffic between 10:00 pm to 5:00 am each night.This is to enable the contractor to lift into place the steel beams for bridge construction.
The closure will start on Thursday 19TH May and will continue for a period of two weeks and is likely to end on 1ST June 2016.
The main diversion route for drivers on the N1 is the New Kasoa Bypass that starts in the East(Accra side) after Ngleshie Amanfro Toll Booth, and on the West(Winneba side) about 1500 metres from Buduburam.
Drivers are advised to pay attention to traffic diversion signs placed at vantage points on the works to find alternative routes for their travel.
