Kasoa: NDC March In Honour of Rawlings

The constituency branch of the National Democratic Congress has embarked on a march in memory of Former President Flight Lieutenant Jerry John Rawlings who passed away recently.

Several enthusiastic party folks took part in the walk marching through the major streets of Kasoa.

The march lasted for a couple of hours on Sunday morning as the party supporters marched through the major streets of the main Kasoa township.

Rounding up the march, a minute silent was observed in remembrance of the first president of the forth republic also founder of the NDC.

Addressing party supporters, chairman of the NDC in the Awutu Senya East Constituency, Stephen Ofosu Agyare recounted something of the major physical interventions embarked by the Rawlings’ administration.

He seized the opportunity to urge party supporters and Ghanaians to vote massively for the NDC in the upcoming elections.

He bemoaned that the performance of President Akufo Addo has been abysmal whilst  his administration has been fraught with corruption and purloin of state assets and resources.

Mr Stephen Ofosu Agyare also exhorted constituents of the Awutu Senya East to vote for the NDC Parliamentary Candidate, Phyllis Naa Koryoo Okunor since the incumbent MP, Hawa Koomson has failed to utilise her position to the advantage of the constituency.

Former President Jerry John Rawlings passed on about a week ago after a slight illness at the Korle-Bu hospital.

National executives of the party has since directed all regional, constituency and branches of the NDC to organise walks in memorial of the founder of the party.
