If any family member or acquaintances of former Electoral Commission Boss, Dr. Kwadwo Afari Gyan comes across this publication, then they should advise him to be mindful of NPP’s Nana Obiri Boahen.
In the Holy book is a story of one man (The Good Samaritan) who rescued a dying companion by the roadside. He stopped what he was doing and looked after him as his relative – he loved his neighbor as himself and saved him from dying.
But that, according to NPP’s Deputy General Secretary will not happen between himself and Dr Afari Gyan.
Nana Obiri Boahen was empathic on NEAT FM’s morning show Ghana Montie that under no circumstance will he “as a Christian” save the former EC boss when he sees him dying.
“Let me be very honest. Should I see Dr Afari Gyan suffering to the point of death on my way, I will never convey him in my car to the nearest hospital. I am being honest. I worship with the Catholic church but I will never help Dr Afari Gyan. I will watch him die,” Obiri Boahen shockingly told host Kwesi Aboagye
His grudge with the former EC boss could perhaps be due to his [Afari Gyan’s] supervision of the 2012 elections which saw the NPP losing to NDC.
The NPP has over the years questioned the credibility of the 2012 polls; the last general elections Dr Afari Gyan superintended over before he retired in 2015, and it appears some of its members are still bitter over the whole issue.
