M.P for Adansi-Asokwa and Co-Chair of the Ad-Hoc committee Hon. Kobina Tahir Hammond has responded to allegations against him of shielding the finance minister at the committee’s proceedings.
Hon. K. T. Hammond’s reactions and responses to issues at the vote of censure Ad- Hoc committee’s sessions has drawn the attention of the public. Majority of people are accusing him as chairing in the interest of Ken Ofori-Atta and shielding him to some extent. He has however referred to committee members of the minority caucus as accusers;
“… the four members on that side have all put their signatures to the motion to remove this man (the finance minister) so all four of them are actually accusers… I am neutral”
He further referred to the actions of some committee members as “Criminal Indictment”.
