The ongoing feud between Nigerian afrobeats musicians David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, and Ayodeji Balogun, commonly referred to as Wizkid, has emerged once again
On Tuesday, a new controversy sparked when Davido gave fans a glimpse of his anticipated single for 2024.
By coincidence, Wizkid was also set to release the first song from his highly anticipated album, “Morayo.”
The situation intensified when Davido’s associate, Kayode Yajaur, also known as Black Tycoone, tweeted, “Tell your Daddy to drop an album already,” a message that appeared to taunt Wizkid.
Wizkid, unbothered by the remark, took to X (formerly Twitter) to subtly call out Davido’s team, stating, “P***y boys dropping mid again,” and added, “You all look exhausted! Take a break for a bit!”
Although he didn’t specifically mention Davido in his post, fans quickly interpreted it as a dig at the ‘Unavailable’ artist.
A fan also criticized Wizkid for allegedly seeking attention for his upcoming song, tweeting, “So if you’re not feuding with @davido, your song won’t sell?”
Wizkid responded to the fan, rejecting any claims of clout-chasing and dismissing Davido’s talent.
“I don’t beef wack niggas! We all know he’s wack! No talent!” he fired back.
Wizkid persisted in his tirades, referring to Davido’s albums as “garbage” while proudly highlighting the superiority of his own musical creations.
“That’s trash! We have 80 albums ready for any song you release! Weaklings!” he added.
Following Wizkid’s remarks, Davido has opted to stay quiet, refraining from publicly addressing the ongoing dispute.
