Residents of Kasoa Akweley and Adom Estate Community, in Awutu Senya East Municipality, was thrown into a state of joy after Ministry of Special Development Initiative led by Awutu Senya East MP Hon Mavis Hawa Koomson stormed the area to Commission a health facility built by her ministry. A health center that will carry all services, every health center in the country undertaken, has a resident doctor and nurses bungalow in the premises of the edifice.
The Sector Minister, Hon Mavis Hawa Koomson who also doubles as Member of Parliament for the Awutu Senya East Constituency speaking to Pink news Reporter Teacher Mireku Nyampong, revealed that the Health Center is among 26 projects ongoing in the country and it comes with equipment to fast track health care delivery to the community members.
According to the Member of Parliament, the ultramodern clinic will help reduce pressure and severe pains patients who get referred to other hospitals go through any time they fall sick. She added that, there are more projects ongoing at kasoa, such as roads, school infrastructure, health centers and many more.
However, the Minister appealed to the chiefs of Awutu Ofaakor to help provide land which can be used for development, because her outfit is ready to provide more development for the good people of Awutu Senya East. But land litigation remains her biggest challenges. She also used the opportunity to appeal to the people of the Kasoa, Akweley and Adom Estate Community to Own the Facility, as well as patronizing it in other to serve it purpose.
Moreover, the Awutu Senya East municipal health director Madam Mercy Yorson who stood in to receive the keys to the clinic thanked the MP Hon Mavis Hawa Koomson for providing facility that will help provide good health care for the people of Awutu Senya East. Madam Mercy said, “we are going to make good use of the facility for the good people of kasoa”
