Ghana Premier League First Round-All Stars Lead, Kotoko Move Up To 3RD

Kumasi Asante Kotoko completed their remarkable turn around with an emphatic win over Techiman City to end the first of the Premier League on a high.

Hitman, Dauda Mohammed emerged the hero of a six-goal thriller, as he grabbed a remarkable hat-trick.

Dauda set the tone for big win after converting a 19th minute penalty to put the Porcupine Warriors in front.

Dauda doubled the lead five minutes later and Kotoko went into the break with a commanding 2:0 lead.

Just two minutes after recess, Dauda completed his hat trick, making it 3:0 for Asante Kotoko.

Techiman City, who have proven to be good way scorers reduced the deficit in the 53rd minute through Okyere Sarpong but Edwin Tuffuor restored Kotoko’s advantage with.

City wouldn’t give up and with 20 minutes to go, they scored again to make it 4:2, but that was all they could offer in terms of goals.

Kotoko held on to move level on points with Aduana Stars and Accra Hearts of Oak. They have identical records goals aggregate with their rivals Accra Hearts of Oak but Kotoko will go into the break above of Hearts due to the 1:0 victory they registered over the Phobians in Accra.
