The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ashanti Gold Sporting Club, Kudjoe Fianoo has resigned, Pink sports can confirm.
The new GHALCA chairman, who was sworn into office last week Thursday tendered his resignation after consultation with his advisers.
Pink sports about two months ago reported that the 62-year-old was ready to relinquish his post after winning the Ghana League Clubs Association’s (GHALCA) elections.
Pink sports understands the affable administrator tendered his resignation last week after supporters of the club met on Thursday and demanded for his immediate.
Mr. Fianoo, who led the club for about a decade, resigned after winning the Premier League last season, but he was persuaded to stay on.
But he has been under immense pressure from the teaming fans of the club after a dismal start to the 2015-16 Ghana Premier League (GPL).Fianoo joined AshGold in 2005, replacing Capt Andy Sam (Rtd).
