Felidan Foundation joined hands with Buzstopboys to organized a successful clean-up exercise at Opkonglo,

On March 30th, 2025, the Felidan Foundation joined hands with Buzstopboys to organized a successful clean-up exercise at Opkonglo, behind the Legon Stadium. The initiative aimed to clear the clogged gutter leading to the Shiashi route, promoting a cleaner and healthier environment for the community.

The event brought together key participants, including Hon. John Dumelo, Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency, and Wode Maya, an African YouTube influencer and aerospace engineer. The clean-up exercise was inspired by the principle that “cleanliness is next to Godliness” and “service to mankind is service to God”.

This initiative reflects the growing awareness of environmental issues in Ghana, particularly in Accra, where plastic waste accounts for 30% of all waste generated. The event highlights the need for proper waste management and community involvement in maintaining a clean environment.

By engaging volunteers and community leaders, the Felidan Foundation and Buzstopboys aim to promote behavioral change and encourage sustainable practices. The clean-up exercise demonstrates the power of community action in driving positive change.
