DENKYIRA-OBUASI CHIEF AND ELDERS ON THEIR HEELS OVER MILITARY OFFICER’S MURDER.

Information emanating from Denkyira-Obuasi where the lynching of the army officer, Cpt. Maxwell Mahama occurred indicates that all men including the chief and his elders have fled the vicinity after a batch of soldiers invaded the town on Tuesday.

The army officer on his way from his usual jogging had stop by the road to demand for direction from some women who mistakenly took him for an’ armed robber’ and unfortunately informed the assembly man,William Baah who in his attempt to rescue these women from the alleged ‘robber’ mobilized some energetic youth who in turn took the laws in their own hands and applied instant justice leading to the gruesome death of Captain Mahama.

Reports have it that the Denkyira Boase township was occupied with aggressive military willing to investigate into the lynching which consequently led to gruesome death of the Captain.Not after the troop have arrived in the community have all men rendered vulnerable and turn out to be ‘women’.

Reporting to Pink Fm this morning,Paa Kwasi Rivers stated that though peace has been restored in the town, one can only see “Women outside and they only come out to paste and then get into their rooms”.

He surprisingly reported that “Not only are the men in hideout but the chief’s palace is currently empty where you can neither see the chief nor any of his elders in the palace since they have taken to their heels as well”.

However,some people suspected to have taken part in the lynching  have been arrested to help with investigations ongoing at the premises of the Regional Police Headquarters sudden death of Capt. Maxwell Mahama.
