Confederation Cup: Al Shendi to arrive in Ghana

Sudanese side Al Shendi will arrive in Sekondi on Monday ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup return leg against Medeama in mid-week.

The North African side have been preparing for the decisive clash at the Lizzy Sports Complex since arriving in the country on Friday.

They wrapped up their final training session in Accra on Monday morning ahead of their three-hour trip to the Oil City.

They will hope to cause a major upset in Ghana having being held by the two-time Ghanaian FA Cup champions to a pulsating 0-0 drawn game in the first leg.

Medeama’s second string side lost 2-0 to Hasaacas in an outstanding Premier League fixture last Thursday.

But coach Tom Strand will parade his star-studded squad ahead of the must-win game against the rich Sudanese side.
