Prominent lawyer and departing President of the Ghana Bar Association, Yaw Acheampong Boafo, has ignited a fresh discussion in the music and entertainment industry by drawing comparisons between two of Ghana’s iconic music legends, Daddy Lumba and Kojo Antwi.
In a recent statement, Boafo compared the two highlife legends to contrasting Real Madrid with Accra Hearts of Oak, indicating that although both are remarkable, there remains a considerable disparity between them.
During an interview with Bola Ray on StarrChat, the departing president used a sports analogy to highlight the distinctions between the two musicians. “Comparing Daddy Lumba to Kojo Antwi is akin to comparing Real Madrid and Hearts of Oak. Both are exceptional in their own way, but there is a clear difference,” Boafo stated.

In comparing the two musical giants to football teams, Boafo highlighted the global reputation and legacy of Real Madrid, one of the most successful football clubs in the world, known for its numerous UEFA Champions League titles and dominance in European football. Although deeply loved by its passionate fan base, Accra Hearts of Oak has not reached the same level of international recognition or success.
