Struggling Ghana Premier League side Ebusua Dwarfs have announced the dismissal of JE Sarpong as head coach.
The club say the decision to relieve him off his post is with immediate effect.
Sarpong will be a paid three months salary as severance package as the Cape Coast-based prepare to halt the patchy run of form.
Last Sunday’s 3-0 defeat to Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium drafted his obituary.
A letter signed by Board Secretary JF Mensah read: “We observed that the club has been performing poorly since the beginning of the 2015/2016 football season. In fact, apart from the fact that we were eliminated at the final stages in the FA Cup competition, we have also gained only nine points from a maximum of 33 points in the on-going 2015/2016 Premier League. The club is there threatened with relegation
“In order to reverse the trend, the Board and Management have decided to conduct an assessment of the situation to identify the problems militating against the desired performance of the club.
“In view of this, I have been directed by the Board Chairman who doubles as the president of the club and the Chief Executive Officer, to relieve you of your post as Head Coach with immediate effect.
“Management has decided to pay you three (3) months salary as compensation to that effect. Arrangement are being made to honour this compensation payment in due course.
“You are also kindly being requested to contact the Administrative Manager to arrange for the payment of any arrears of salaries and/or bonuses due if any.
“We take this opportunity to express our utmost appreciation for the valuable services that you have rendered to the club. We are most grateful
“We wish all the best in your future endeavours.”
