The agreement with the midfielder can be extended for two more seasons, until the end of the 2022/23 campaign and will be signed in the next few days with a buyout clause of 200 million euros.
With 384 official matches played for the Blaugrana, Busquets’ anchoring role in midfield has been described as indispensable by the Barcelona coaching staff.
His honours list during his time at the club is extensive.
