Ghana came from a goal down to defeat their counterparts at the Stade Oued Ellil to make the return leg in Accra a mere formality.

Queens goalkeeper Patricia Mantey will miss the reverse fixture after receiving a red card.

The result gives Yusif Basigi’s side a huge advantage ahead of the reverse encounter in Ghana.

The Black Queens are chasing their 9th Cup of Nations appearance.

A win in the second leg will cement their place at this year’s competition in Cameroon.

Ghana failed to qualify out of the Group in the last edition of the competition hosted by Namibia.
