Bishop Salifu Amoako and his wife urge the court to mandate the police and media to cease sharing photos of their son online

During a recent court session, Prophet Elisha Salifu Amoako, the General Overseer of Alive Chapel International, earnestly pleaded with the Accra Circuit Court. He sought an injunction to prevent the Ghana Police Service and media organizations from sharing images of his son, Elrad Amoako, on social media. This request followed a tragic incident on October 12, 2024, in East Legon, which resulted in the unfortunate deaths of two young girls.

Prophet Salifu Amoako and his wife, Mouha Amoako, voiced serious worries regarding the continued dissemination of their son’s images, highlighting his young age and the risks it poses to his privacy and well-being. In the course of the court hearings, Prophet Amoako emphasized that his son, who is still a minor, should not be exposed to such public scrutiny, especially given the sensitive context of the situation.

The incident involved a crash between a Honda Acura and a Jaguar driven by Elrad Amoako, drawing considerable public interest. The Amoako family and their sales assistant Linda Bonsu Prempeh are facing charges for allowing an unlicensed individual to operate a vehicle. The court has granted bail to all three parties, with the amount set at GH₵150,000 each.
