Appiah urges Hearts of Oak to hold onto ‘troublesome’ Kenichi

Former Hearts of Oak midfielder Stephen Appiah has revealed he is enjoying the club’s strong start to the season and has urged them to hold onto Kenichi Yatsuhashi.

Appiah, who played for Hearts of Oak in his shaping years, has watched a couple of games this season and he says he is really impressed with the quality of football being displayed.

The Phobians have had a bright start to the season that has seen them placed second only to Wa All Stars in the league.

Kenichi Yatsuhashi’s side has won five of their games, drawn three and lost the other one to leaders Wa All Stars.

“I was very happy to see their Japanese coach on the bench during their victory against AshGold,” Appiah told Pink Sports

“They have done well in fact I have seen all their home games and I continue to watch their games whenever I can.”

“On a personal note I am very happy that they have had a strong start to the season.”

“Clearly they want to win the league but there is still a long way to go.”
