Alleged mad man shot by police at Gomoa Buduburam Camp. On Saturday, at 2 am, the 27 year old alleged mad man call precious or water was shot by police. The alleged mad man was identify as a Nigerian.
The Kasoa Divisional patrol team receive a danger call that an alleged mad man was harassing people at the Gomoa Buduburam Camp taxi round. After the call, they rush at the scene and saw the alleged mad man with two cutlasses that confirmed the danger call received earlier
The police, that night met the 27 year old young male adult chasing people here and there. Upon seeing that, they asked the victim to drop his weapon. The victim refused leaving the police to shot his right leg immediately.
The shot serves as warning, but he grew more aggressive to attack the police rather.
The police who wanted to defend themselves and disarm the victim, shot him in his left arm but he fell down and died. The death made the Nigerians at Gomoa Buduburam angry. Thus leading to demonstration at the entrance of Gomoa Buduburam police station. which lead to the arrest of two girls. It was later confirmed that the alleged mad man left behind a two month old baby.
After receiving complaints the investigative team on duty left to the scene where a young man lying dead in pool of blood. They also found a car key and two cutlasses. Two gun shots wounds were found also
According to rumor, the entire scene was a set up. But until then, the body of the victim is in the police hospital mortuary at Accra for preservation and autopsy.
