Madam Akua Donkor, founder and leader of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), has passed away at the age of 72.
A family source confirmed to MyJoyOnline.com that she died on Monday, October 28, 2024, at Ridge Hospital in Accra.
Known for her vibrant presence in Ghanaian politics, Akua Donkor was a passionate advocate for farmers’ and women’s rights. Her bold and outspoken personality made her a prominent figure, earning widespread attention and support from grassroots communities.
Despite financial obstacles, she repeatedly ran for the presidency, showcasing unwavering determination throughout her political career.
