Notorious galamsey bandit En Huang, popularly known as Aisha Huang, apparently fired Lawyer Effah Dartey and his team, who were her legal representative in the ongoing trial.

Lawyer Captain Nkrabea Effah Dartey and his team have been the defense lawyers of the ongoing galamsey trial. The accused Chinese National appeared in court on Monday, November 21 with a new team of attorneys.

Mrs. Yvonne Atakora Oboubisah asked the new Attorneys if they are representing Lawyer Effah Dartey. They replied with a no. Presiding judge Justice Lydia Osei Marfo postulated that the accused Aisha Huang has fired her lawyer. Lawyers Miracle Atta -Chey and Hope Aboado continued the cross-examination of the 3^rd witness Nana Sarfo Prempeh, a divisional chief of Ashanti Agogo Traditional Area.

The issue that accounted for the accused’s decision to change lawyers is still not clear. However, the new attorneys are expected to take over the defense. The accused has pleaded not guilty to the four charges against her.
