Zidane Lead 21 Man Squad To Wolfsburg

Real Madrid have arrived in Germany for the first leg of theirChampions League quarter-final against Wolfsburg, with the players in fine fettle after coming from behind to beat Barcelona at the weekend.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored his ninth goal at the Nou Camp in El Clasico as Zinedine Zidane’s side closed the gap on the leaders of La Liga to seven points, and confidence will be sky high as the squad embarked on their two-and-a-half-hour flight to central Germany.

Real, who are aiming to clinch a record 11th European Cup this season, have won their last six games in all competitions but have never faced the Bundesliga club in their history.

Zinedine Zidane included all 21 of his players available in Real Madrid‘s squad list to face Wolfsburg this Wednesday.

Raphael Varane will stay in Madrid trying to recover from the calf injury on his left leg in order to be available for the return leg next week.

Sergio Ramos is one yellow card away from being suspended and Zidane will surely keep that in mind in case Madrid earn a comfortable lead tomorrow.

Casemiro is in the exact same situation.

Given how important he is in Zidane’s plans right now, it will be crucial to have both Ramos and the Brazilian midfielder available for the semi finals if Real manage to knock Wolfsburg out of the European competition as expected.Real Madrid and Colombia attacking midfielder James Rodriguez arrives at the team hotel in Wolfsburg

The players were smartly dressed in suits and shades in the early Spring sunshine as they took a short shuttle bus from the Madrid-Barajas Airport to their private flight and it was not long before the usual selection of selfies were being uploaded onto social media.

Ronaldo led the way with the Portuguese looking serene alongside his compatriot Pepe in the front seats while Toni Kroos exuded class and sophistication wearing his suit without a tie as he boarded the plane.
