YOUTH AND PARENTS ADVISED TO VENTURE INTO VOCATIONAL AND TECHNICAL TRAINING

Prime School of Hospitability and Culinary Arts is an institution where parents are advised to train their wards to acquire the right skills to work in various restaurants and hotels across the nation.

The administrator Eileen Akorfa Kumi has advised the youth and parents to focus on Vocational and technical training as it is the back bone of Ghana’s economy and the country’s development.

She highlighted that this institution is open to everyone and even university graduates.

“Even for university graduates, this is also a good opportunity for them to get additional skills while they are waiting for jobs in the area that they studied”, she categorically stated.

This is a great opportunity for most people because of the training and specialities involve leading them to having more advantage over other colleagues who haven’t had any training.

Speaking at a public forum, she revealed that, most of the programmes in our universities are theory oriented. It is about time parents and the nation as a whole take into consideration the benefit of vocational and technical training which will help curb the unemployment rate within the country.

The institution gives one the chance of having more practical than theory as it is done in various schools therefore making the institution exceptional. Granting all who are interested their wish of becoming professionals in different forms of vocational and technical fields.

She added that a lot of restaurants and hotels are being established needing people with some qualifications to employ. It therefore gives opportunities to students or graduates from Prime School of Hospitability and Culinary Arts the advantage over the others who also apply for various positions because of their training and skills.
