WE’RE TIRED OF THIS GOVERNMENT, HON SAMUEL OKUDZETO

Hon Samuel Okudzeto has complained bitterly about how the country has been subjected to severe hardship under Nana Addo’s administration.

He opined that Ghanaians are fed up and hence enough is enough. He also said that the country could not continue with corruption as well as general misrule.

Hon Okudzeto said the demonstration dubbed “kum yen preko” is to register their displeasure, discontentment and disgust with Nana’s government. He added that, their protest was clear and loud.

He also said that, Ghanaians would not wait till 2020 to show Nana Addo that sovereignty resides in the people.

The protest is also against the $200 million chamber for parliamentarians which the entire citizenry is against. His reason being that, Ghanaians still lack basic amenities hence there is no need for a chamber.

Hon Okudzeto also made mention of some laudable projects of the NDC when they were in power. Listed below are the projects of the NDC:

  • The Ridge Hospital
  • The Kasoa Interchange
  • Komfo Anokye Expansion Projects
  • Kotokraba Market
  • Terminal 3

Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia also gave a little speech on democracy.

In his speech, he made mention of freedom of speech. He said that, even the right to speak now is being curtailed under Nana Addo’s administration.

He threw subtle shots at Nana Addo’s administration where;

  • Government decides which media houses should operate.
  • Government decides on what media personnels should say as well as what might land them into trouble should they fail to do the bidding of the government.

Because of this scenario, Mr Nketia is of the view that the state of democracy is deteriorating in Ghana.

And hence, Ghanaians must wake up.

He also talked about the government of Ghana failing Ghanaians in a quest to establish a needless new chamber for parliarment.

Mr Nketia also added that, Ghanaians must congratulate the NDC for fighting for media men who are victims of these occurrences.
