WE’LL MAKE SURE THE ALLEGED MILLITARY INVOLVEMENT IN ‘GALAMSEY’ YIELDS BETTER RESULT,MEDIA COALITION AGAINST GALAMSEY PROMISE.

The Media Coalition Against Galamsey have promised they will go every length to make sure that the investigations underway in identifying some military men who were found guarding an illegal mining otherwise known as ‘galamsey’ site at Tonto Kurom in the Ashanti Region yields a better result.

Speaking on Pink FM’s Omanbapa Kasa, the leader of the group, Kenneth Ashigbey told Kwame Obeng Sarkodie “Gone are the days where there will be an investigation and there wouldn’t be any result, this time around, the media is ready to follow any result going to come out of this particular investigation on the alleged involvement of military personnel in the act of ‘galamsey’”.

The group have expressed great disappointment in the various outcomes of previous investigations into cases involving security personnel in the country. But with this issue at hand, the military is given the benefit of the doubt to do their work whiles the media make sure that the law takes its course if anyone is found guilty of the allegation against the military. He believes no military person does anything on his or her own until Commanded to do so.

The court he said “Shouldn’t be like the spider web that is able to trap only tiny insects and spares the bigger ones, because it’s no lie that, there are Police, Military personnel, Chiefs involved in this act of illegal mining and anyone involved in illegal mining is only a criminal”.

In this case, the media is ready to help make sure the law is enforced to the utmost without considering the political affiliation or the financial status, ones any military personnel is found guilty of the allegation at hand.
