A Kumasi based NDC vigilante group, Tiger Force, has expressed great concern towards how the current government is handling security issues in the country. They have therefore threatened to put the law in their own hands and attack if members of the Delta Force are not prosecuted.
The group as confirmed by their President, Yakubu Tony Aidoo says they “are a part of the National Democratic Congress (NDC)”.
They seem not to be happy with how the government is dealing with the Delta Force issue and if the Inspector General of Police (IGP) refuse to investigate into the issue and bring the perpetrators to book, no member of the National Democratic Congress(NDC), can be punished if they also engage themselves in such acts too.
“Yes, even though that is not our main motive let me emphasize that if you crush, we will crush and nobody can dare prosecute us. Security in the Ashanti region, has been ruin to nothingness since the transfer of COP. Kofi Boakye. I tell you if he was still at post in the Ashanti Region here or let’s say if he was the current IGP, the Delta Force wouldn’t have gotten that guts to do what they did” he stated.
Yakubu Tony Aidoo also stated that the current government is doing everything possible to render the Delta Force’s case a baseless issue all in the name of the fact that, the Delta Force group is a part of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Spelling out their main mission, he stated that they only seek to protect and keep safe the strongholds of the NDC but will face squarely anyone who crosses their path.
