The running mate of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia has stated that “an NPP government will eradicate nuisance taxes” when voted into power.
Speaking on the economic part of the NPP’s “2016 manifesto of solutions” at its launch at the La Trade Fair Center, Dr Bawumia did mention that, the NPP will institute pragmatic measures to eradicate poverty and also ensure a very vibrant economy in the country.
He however attributed the current suffering of Ghanaians to high taxation mechanism instituted by the current government.
Ghanaians are suffering and the economy is suffering because of the recent high taxes on products….an NPP government led by Nana Addo will eradicate all the nuisance taxes” He said.
Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia also added that the trainee allowances will be reinstituted by the NPP government when voted into power.
