Head Coach for the Black Princesses of Ghana Yussif Basigi has reiterated that, his team is ready for the upcoming FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup which will be hosted by France.
Speaking in an interview on Happy FM, Coach Yussif Basigi said, “We have prepared well and I want to believe the girls are ready for the tournament”.
According to Coach Basigi, his team is ready for the clash and hinted on surprising their opponents.
“We take on France which we know will be a very difficult game but I am sure we can surprise them”, he stated.
The Ghana U20 women’s team will kick-start their FIFA Women’s World Cup campaign with a clash against host nation France on Sunday August 05, 2018.
Coach Yussif Basigi added that, the team’s main target is to play and qualify from the group stages and move forward in the tournament.
“Our main target is to get out of the group stage and from there we will look at going far in the competition”, he added.
The female U-20 team will hold their last training on Saturday August 03, 2018 before the game.
Ghana is in the same group with France, New Zealand and Netherlands.
