TOGOLESE NATIONAL ARRESTED FOR KILLING OKADA RIDER

 

A 29 year old Togolese national, Ebenezer Gineku has been arrested by the Ofankor District police command headed by DSP Christopher Dakey for the murder of an ‘okada’ rider

Pink News, following a call from DSP Dakey, interviewed him on their arrival. According to him, the incident happened last year December 20, 2017. Ebenezer Gineku hired Kwaku Arhin, a 22 year old ‘okada’ driver and asked him to take him to Kwaboney a suburb of Austin Ofankor.

and eventually stabbed the ‘okada’ driver to death. He escaped with the motorcycle belonging to the okada rider, Kwaku Arhin. He then sold the motorcycle to one Paul Tulasy at Nsawam.

Following the investigation carried out by the police, they were able to arrest Paul Tulasy who hinted that the motorbike was sold to him by Ebenezer Gineku. He was however arrested and had to face the court for thorough investigations, eventhough he had no idea of the wrongful act of Mr Gineku. Paul Tulasy was given a year jail term for dishonesty receiving.

The police, assisted by the assemblyman for Pakua arrested the murderer, Mr Gineku at Aflo on the Ghana Togo boarder.

Currently, Ebenezer is in police custody and would be arranged before court after investigation by the police.
