“THERE IS NO TRUTH IN THE DEMOLISHING OF THE CHURCH AS REPORTED”- STEPHEN OWUSU AGYARE

An aspiring chairman for the National Democratic Congress ( NDC)  in  the Awutu Senya East  constituency, Stephen Owusu Agyare has confirmed that there is no truth in the demolishing of the church as reported.

He disclosed this in an interview on Pink FM’s morning show ‘Omanbapa Kasa’  hosted by Kofi Asamoah Aning.

Mr Agyare mention that, he has leased out a land to church of Pentecost, which they have been using  for more than a decade now.

According to Mr Agyare, such report is propaganda since he is contesting for NDC party Chairman’s position in the up-coming Awutu-Senya East Constituency election.

He will be contesting with incumbent NDC chairman Alhaji Habib Dramani. The election will be held on the 23rdJune, 2018.

Mr Agyare stated, “There are laws in Ghana and nobody can put the laws into his own hands. For instance when you beat someone,  it is a criminal offence. They have to take you to the police station then to the law court to defend yourself.

Which policeman has arrested me or which court have summoned for demolishing a church building”? He asked.

The aspiring Chairman further explained that, “when such things are done, it will not win you elections since it will give your opponent a message. The personal attacks should stop. Whether you win or loss, it is just an election. We should be united”.

Mr Agyare concluded by saying, “NDC is my party. The way forward for 2020  is  my vision.  I am not attacking anybody. I am doing fair play politics”.
