“THE PRESIDENT INDEED IS IN PEOPLE’S POCKETS” – NDC COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communications Officer, Mr. Solomon Nkansah claims President Nana Addo, the President of Ghana, is indeed in the pockets of others, following some comments that were disclosed from the latest exposé by Ace Journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

Mr. Nkansah made this statement on the Omanbapa Kasa Show with the host, Kofi Asamoah on Pink Fm.

According to Mr. Nkansah, the views made by Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi in the video proves that President Nana Addo is “indeed in people’s pockets” and he has failed the country. The Communications Officer added by saying, “Mr. Nyantakyi claimed in the exposé that, President Nana Addo during the 2016 elections sold his properties to finance the National Patriotic Party (NPP) campaign. He furthered by saying that, parts of the exposé were edited. Hence, the edited parts of the exposé would have helped Ghanaians draw their own conclusions on the corruption saga in the country.”

Mr. Solomon Nkansah continued by saying actions undertaken by Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Mr. Kennedy Agyapong also proves his statement of the President being in people’s pockets. According to the Communications Officer, “the NPP are scared of Mr. Kennedy Agyapong and that was the reason why the NPP offered him a ministerial position. Mr. Kennedy Agyapong in turn rejected the position and opted for another to undertake that position. Also, Kennedy Agyapong is able to warn the President and go away with it scot-free. Therefore, these are indications that, the President is indeed in people’s pockets since he couldn’t undertake any actions pertaining to Mr. Agyapong’s actions.”

Mr. Nkansah also made mention that the President has failed the country since he mishandles the finances of the country. He claimed that, “the President is wasting money sod-cutting projects which has already been initiated by Former President John Dramani Mahama. This proves that the current Government has no respect for Ghanaians and are not ready to work for the betterment of the country.”

The Communications Officer also added his view to the issue of the seventy-year old man who died recently due to unavailability of hospital beds. The NDC Officer said, “This wouldn’t have happened if the Legon and Ofankor hospitals were in operation. This is evident that the President only has the wellbeing of his family and loved ones at heart and does not think of the welfare of the people of the country.”
