GOVERNMENT SHOULD CONTRIBUTE MORE IN THE TEACHING FIELD-NSIAH JABAAH

Teaching is the art of imparting knowledge or skill to another or more people and one can arguably say that teaching is an indispensable act or profession in a nation’s development.                                                                                                  In an interview with the morning show host, of the Kasoa based radio station Pink fm, Kofi Asamoah, Professor Nsiah Jabaah Anglican University lecturer says government should contribute more in the teaching field. Professor Jabaah added that teachers are instrumental in a nation’s development. He stated that the teachers should be provided with more incentives to boost their morale in order for them to teach their students more effectively. In turn, he says this will help the students to understand better and produce excellent results. Professor Nsiah Jabbah  added that in a nation where teachers are provided with logistics there is better teaching and learning which helps to develop a nation.                                                                                                                                                                                                                Professor Nsiah Jabaah says teachers are the least recognised in the country, but ironically they are the backbone of the nation’s development. He added that many people with highly recognised professions such as doctors, nurses, chattered accountants, lawyers,  judges, military officers, police officers, immigration officers, businessmen, ministers, journalists, actors, directors, authors, quarantine officers, parliamentarians, and presidents have all passed through the hands of teachers.                                                                                                                                                           He further stated that teachers should be recognised in the country. Professor Jabaah says teaching has the most number of workers in the country.                                                                                                                                                                Professor Nsiah Jabaah says he urges all teachers to work hard and put out their best. He added that no teachers no other highly respected jobs.                                                                                                                                                                  Professor Jabaah concluded that teachers should put in the zeal and go all out to work hard for the country  to move forward. It is often said, the reward of teachers are in heaven. In addition, they can also be rewarded on this planet. When teachers put in their best to teach, the students in turn, produce scintillating results which brings joy to the teachers and students as well.
