SOME MEN DO NOT RESPECT WOMEN- NKORANZA SOUTH MCE

Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Nkoranza South Constituency, Hon. Diana Attah-Kusiwaa has expressed concern relating to “foul comments” aired by her Constituency Secretary directed at her.

According to Hon. Attah-Kusiwaa, the Constituency Secretary, Mr. Affum Isaac Twum on a sister station, made fetid remarks to tarnish her image. In her perspective, the honourable MCE claims the comment is an indication showing lack of reverence for women.

On the “Omanbapa Kasa” morning show on Pink FM, Mad. Attah-Kusiwaa claimed that, Mr. Twum is advocating for her removal as MCE of Nkoranza South due to her being a woman.

She added that, majority of the inhabitants of the constituency demonstrated, claiming they do not want a woman as a leader and not for any other “tangible” reason.

In her view, she stated she has no issues with her Secretary and made mention that, Mr. Affum in an interview on other media platforms, compared her (Hon. Attah-Kusiwaa) to other female political personalities like Hon. Ursula Owusu and Hon. Otiko Djaba.

The Honourable MCE also averred that the Constituency Secretary in his words asserted, “We want good women to lead the Constituency and not herself” but she had no intention of retaliating.

Mad. Attah-Kusiwaa disclosed that Mr. Isaac Twum is bent-on putting in efforts for the President of the Republic to dismiss her from her position.

In a recent Press Conference which was held in her constituency, she revealed she had no prior knowledge about it which is not suppose to be so since as an MCE, she has the right to know everything that goes on in the Constituency.

When asked by the host Kofi Asamoah Aning, the outcome of the Conference, she explained she does not have a copy of the list of allegations levelled against her. Thus, “I have been referred to the Disciplinary Committee”, she included.

“Mr. Isaac Twum is trying to distraught me but I’m focused”, she finalised.
