Senior Policewoman ‘mysteriously’ dies; decomposes in her Sakumono residence

A senior policewoman Chief Inspector Victoria Peprah of the Sakumono police station is reported to have died ‘mysteriously’ in her room days before it was discovered by her neighbor, MyNewsGh.com has filed.

According to police investigators who confirmed the incident to MyNewsGh.com, one Richard Ofori of house Number 10A Nungua link Baatsona reported that he had not seen his neighbor and co-tenant in the person of the deceased policewoman for days.

According to him, a pungent smell started emanating from the Chief Inspector’s room and decided to verify but that he saw flies all over the room and suspected that something was wrong.

He, therefore, lodged a complaint with the police and led by the district commander superintendent Mrs. Elizabeth Danquah a team of police personnel visited the room and found the Chief Inspector apparently died and the body almost at a point of decomposing.

The district commander invited the crime scene team to process the scene and upon inspection of the body, no marks of violence were seen to suggest foul play.

The body has since been removed and taken to police hospital mortuary for autopsy.
