Residents at Ayigbe Town blocked road to get traffic lights

The traffic jam was on the Kasoa highway at the crossing Ayigbe city. There is a traffic light or a pedestrian crossing urgently needed. Because that’s the only way people can cross the street safely. The square is located in Ayigbe Town in the Weija-Gbawe municipal in Greater Accra region on the Kasoa Highway at Ayigbe Town junction.

The streets of the town of Ayigbe in the municipality of Ga South were heavily overcrowded. Residents at Ayigbe Town blocked the road to get traffic lights or a crosswalk. Many people have already left their lives there. The cars drive unbraked. Crossing the road is therefore very dangerous.

In addition, excited citizens report that already ten people in one month have not survived crossing the road. They also mention that they have already tried some contact attempts with Weija-Gbawe municipal assembly and Ga South. Unfortunately without success. Because of this, the Residents at Ayigbe Town blocked the road and traffic stucked.

Otherwise James Tsevi, the Ayigbe Town Land Lords Association Chairman, declares an ultimatum. If nothing is changed in two weeks, the residents want to build a heavy ramp onto the road.
