PRESIDENT AKUFFO ADDO SACKED FOUR GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS

The president of the republic, Nana Akuffo Addo has SACKED  the CEO of the Ghana Export Promotion Authority(GEPA) and other three government officials within a day.

The Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), CEO Gifty Klenam, the acting director-general of Ghana Port and Harbour Authority(GPHA), Paul Asare Ansah, the Managing Director of the Bulk Oil Storage and treansport (BOST) Company, Alfred Obeng Boteng and the CEO of the Korlebu Teaching Hospital, Dr. Felix Kwaku Anyaa, were all sacked on the 6th of June 2018 by the president Akuffo Addo.

Based on their firing, the government has not given any reason for their dismissal. Also, aside from the CEO of the Ghana Export and Promotion Authority(GEPA), Gifty Klenam’s dismissal, her two other deputies were fired as well.

Gifty Klenam, for twenty years has been in the Export business and a member of parliament for Lower West Akyem.

She has been a member of parliament Select Committee on Trade, Industry and Tourism for Eight years.

BOST
The fired CEO of Bulk Oil Storage and Transport, Alfred Obeng Boateng

The Managing Director of Bulk Oil Storage and Transport(BOST), Alfred Obeng Boateng was accused by the Chamber of Petroleum Consumers(COPEC) to have indulge in allege financial rot and for the sale of contaminated fuel to some private organization.

The Bureau of National Investigations, BNI, investigated him. Mr. Alfred Obeng Boateng was later cleared by the Energy Minister Boakye A gyarko wo set up committee to investigate the sale.

He was asked according to the secretary of the president to move out later than Friday, 8th June, 2018 for George Mensah Okley to replace him.

Director General
The fired Director General of Ghana Port and Habour Authority, Paul Asare

The Acting Director-general of the Ghana Port and Habour Authority (GPHA), Paul Asare was not given any reason for dismissal.

Recently, based on a press conference organized by the workers of GPHA against some acts of the chairman of the Board, Mr. Peter Mac Manu. The GPHA boss, Paul Asare ctiticised the workers for breach of internal mechanism.

According to him, he did not understand why the workers did not direct the issues to management rather, to the media.

CEO
The fired CEO of Korlebu Teaching Hospital, Felis Anyaa

The CEO of the Korlebu Teaching Hospital,Dr. Anyah, who is the owner of Holy Trinity Medical Centre/Holy Trinity Spa & Health Farm was appointed on June 1, 2017.

He took over from Dr Samuel Asiamah who was the acting CEO of the hospital following the self-termination of service by Dr Gilbert Buckle.

Before his departure, Dr. Buckle faced numerous struggles with the Korle Bu Senior Staff Association (KOSSA).

According to observers of the Korlebu hospital, the challenges faced are overwhelming.

The Minister for Environment Science and Technology, Prof. Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng described the crisis in the hospital as a ‘monster’ that cannot be killed.

There is huge expectation of top officials to be sack between now and July.

According to sources, the next organization will hit the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) within few hours and also, in the army and police hierarchy.
