PRESIDENCY IS NOT ABOUT GOOD LOOKS – GENERAL MOSQUITO

The General secretary of the National Democratic Congress NDC,Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has poohed  over the comment jovially passed by the founder of the party,Former President Rawlings about his looks, during the 25th anniversary of the NDC last Sunday.

Former President Rawlings said jovially at the event, that General Mosquito can become a president if he had good looks like former president to be able to win victory in the next election period. “…it is a pity he (Asiedu Nketia) is ugly…If he were handsome, we would put him on a horse to go and help. Considering how light he is like air, the horse will run faster,”JJ.  Rawlings added.

However, responding to Rawlings’ comments, the NDC general secretary said that the former president was only pleasing  the large crowd that had assembled to hear him speak. He reiterated that he was proud of his bodily features, as they were a gift from God and he could not moan about them.

The NDC secretary also noted that if looks were part of the criteria  for winning elections, then Former President Mahama would have won the 2016 general elections. “In 2016, the most handsome of the race did not win…people claimed he was more handsome than Nana Addo but still, Nana Addo won…ask yourself why people didn’t even vote massively for John Mahama though he is a handsome man, it should tell you that they didn’t vote per physical features,” Asiedu Nketiah said.

He also shared some moments of the NDC as they celebrate thier silver jubilee.”NDC is not the best party and not the worst party in the whole world….As you check our record,God has help us win the most elections in Ghana within this short time we created this political party…….we have won many seats and that has made us achieve more than others. Also comparing our achievements as government to  other governments, there is a varce difference.Again the NDC is not one the tradional parties like CPP and other parties, but have survived up till date”.

He also expressed the party’s victory in the 2020 elections.
