Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has reinstated the chief of Atwima, Nana Agyei Brempong II, following his dethronement a couple of months ago.
Folks from the Atwima community were pleased with the Asantehene for reinstating the chief of Atwima because they claim he is the brain behind many developmental projects in the community.
The decision of Otumfuo to reinstate the deposed chief came after he rendered an apology to Manhyia through some high-profile personalities including former President John Kufuor.
Nana Agyei Brempong II was removed after he was accused of adhering to the dictates of the Asantehene who owns all the stools and lands in the Ashanti Region.
He was also found guilty of wrongful use of the oath of Asantehene and was subsequently dethroned by the King. He also found guilty of lying in the presence of the sacred Golden Stool, which has been the heart and soul of the Asante kingdom over centuries.
The Asantehene has swore him again as the Atwimahene of Atwima with a strong warning of been a good person and have respect for the great oath.
