The Assembly Member for the Assassin Electoral Area in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District in the Central Region, Mr. Ephraim Amoh Mensah, has opined that the ruling party has refused to continue all uncompleted projects that were initiated by the NDC government.
Mr. Amoh Mensah pointed out that projects like the 24 Seaters Toilet Facilities started by Hon. Cassel Ato Forson and the NDC government have come to an unexpected halt. In view of this, the Assembly Member appealed to the government to provide the community with the basic social amenities in order to make life in the Assassin Electotal Area a comfortable one. In his own words he said, “You cannot live in a community without social amenities. We are therefore appealing to the government to support us”.
The chief of the community also added his voice to this problem facing the people of Assassin Electoral Area. In an interview with Kweku Darko of Pink Fm, Nana Assan during the Ahobaa Festival celebration explained that the uncompleted projects have now become death traps for children who use the place as a playground.The chief used the festival celebration as a platform to appeal to the MP and the DCE to come to their aid since his community is faced with a lot of challenges.
In the quest to deal with these problems, the Assembly Member, Mr. Amoh Mensah disclosed to Pink FM that his community has started their own projects and therefore appeals to the MP, DCE and the government to come to their aid to complete those projects.
