MY STYLE IS IMPORTANT TO ME – ANAS AREMEYAW ANAS

The renowned investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas has made mention of how important his style of journalism is to him.
From an interview on the Joyfm Super Morning Show, Anas mentioned how he was able to make contact with Nyantakyi in Morocco, Dubai and a number of foreign countries.
According to Anas before you would embark on any journalistic project, you would have done a lot of background research. All the places and venues you would meet people involved in the project would come up along the way.
He believes you would have to make contact with certain people to be able to weed out the kind of information you need. It must be well arranged and planned.
“We indeed make contact if we have to make contact. We don’t just make contact, we find the right persons who would ensure that the proper contacts are made”, Anas said.
He added that they made contact, got Nyantakyi and spoke to him through people.
From the interview, the host Daniel Dadzie, asked him how he was able to talk to Nyantakyi. But the ace journalist said it would be improper to talk about how one thing led to another and that his style is important to him.
Aremeyaw Anas said: “It is not possible to sit down and think after number 12 we are going to bed. Whilst Number 12 was cooking others were cooking. It’s normal”.
He believes he and his team were genuine in all their encounters with Nyantaki. That was why they got to meet him and had their discussions with him.
“We are undercover journalists. That is our job. You are going in to do something you are not”, he said.
From Anas, it was not difficult to make Nyantakyi believe him and also commit himself to what he did.
