Manchester United couldn’t have wished for a better start to the new Premier League season with two comfortable wins over Bournemouth and Southampton.
And as they look to make it an early season treble away at surprise package Hull on Saturday, Jose Mourinho’s side have returned to training at their Carrington base.
Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and captain Wayne Rooney led the way as United began their preparations to try and stay unbeaten at the KC Stadium this weekend with a double session on Tuesday.
Summer signing Pogba, a £100million arrival from Juventus, made his United debut in the facile 2-0 home win over the Saints last Friday, a game in which veteran Swedish striker Ibrahimovic netted both goals.
The star duo, who are used to being the centre of attention, were laughing and joking as Mourinho directed orders.
The jovial mood of the United stars was no surprise given they sit joint top of the table alongside rivals Manchester City and surprisingly, the side they face this weekend – Hull.
Mourinho, especially, will be delighted given his team’s fast start to the new campaign.

Pogba was magnificent on his Old Trafford return, while Ibrahimovic has also settled quickly into life in England with three goals to his name already.
The Portuguese’s other two arrivals – Eric Bailly and Henrikh Mkhitaryan – have also been regularly involved with centre-half Bailly in particular looking a perfect fit for the rough and tumble of England’s top-flight.
‘If you are going to lose points, the later the better,’ said Mourinho after he saw his team make it six points from six against Southampton.

‘If you start losing points at the beginning of the season, then you have to chase.
‘It is better not to lose points. At this moment, it’s even more important to show evolution in our game and I think we are showing that.
‘I agree we are not playing superb but I think anyone can see there are differences in relation to the past two or three years.’
With Hull boasting just 13 fit first-team players, their unbeaten status following a summer of upheaval is a huge surprise.
The Tigers have brushed aside defending champions Leicester and Swansea so far, but it would be a shock if there was anything other than a United win on Saturday night.
‘The team is improving, the team is playing differently,’ Mourinho said,
‘The way the fans react, it is not just because of their passion for the club, it is also because they are happy with the signs of this evolution.
‘The important number is to score one more goal than the opponent and at the moment we are scoring two more, so we are fine!’
