Mzbel, the controversial afro-pop songstress stated that, the former president Mahama’s defeat has affected her music career.
In the 2016 general elections, Mzbel generously campaigned for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), where she even released a couple of songs for the party.
After her party’s loss in the 2016 general elections, she was heavily criticized. The NDC was booted out of power by the New Patriotic Party led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo.
“Before the removal of the NDC from power, I used to play a lot of corporative organizational gigs”, the afro-pop songstress said on Kumasi-based Kessben FM.
According to her, she has been affected by the defeat and change in government because she no longer gets the opportunity to perform at corporate events like she used to when NDC was in power.
“There were some banks, hotels etc, I used to play gigs for them on yearly basis. Sadly, after the change of government, those in the various positions who used to give me the deals have all been removed and some transferred to different places”, she added.
Mzbel in disappointment, said; “This has really affected my career”.
