LOWER MANYA KROBO NDC BOILS, OFFICE LOCKED UP BY DISGRUNTLED MEMBERS

The National Democratic Congress’ wing in the Lower Manya Constituency of the Eastern Region is faced with rancor.
A group named “Concern NDC Branch Executives and Members”, clad in red clothing on Sunday afternoon besieged and locked up the party’s office in the constituency.
Atsu Culture, spokesperson of the group told reporters, that their action  followed after the national and regional executives failure to act on a press conference held on Tuesday 7th, February 2017, calling for suspension of the constituency executives.
The NDC constituency executives were accused of squandering moneys belonging to polling agents during the recent elections.
According to the agents, Ghc 100.00 instead of Ghc 200.00 was given to them.
After wailing louder through the media, Mr. Kofi Portopy, the national chairman of the party intervened and ordered the MP, Hon. Okletey Teilarbi to pay the polling agents within two weeks after he (MP) haD admitted that he used the money for his operations.
The victims (polling agents and prompters) has sparked  out action after their patience to receive the money within the two weeks failed.
“The constituency executives has allegedly been operating in the office during the night between  hours of 11pm and 4pm secretly”, Mr. Atsu Culture lamented.
Mr. David Hormenu Walter, however, said the allegations are not true.
“The office was not opened after the elections and it cannot be true that we (executives) have been opening the office in the nights.
He therefore advice supporters to calm down tempers since their actions violates the party’s constitution.
